New Directions Institute is offering a FREE interactive experience called Brain Time at the Museum. This program emphasizes simple but criticual messages about early brain development. Included are stories, songs, rhymes, and one-on-one partent/child playtime with brain-based learning toys and books. The program is designed to teach parents about the importance of a child's early experiences to the wiring of his or her brain in a fun, informal learning setting where play is emphasized. New Directions Institute for Infant Brain Development is offering free one-hour presentations to parents/caregivers on the latest infoomation and techniques to "wire up" a young child's brain for a successful future. During this workshop, parents/caregivers will learn the importance of spending quality time with their children and how those bonding experiences facilitate healthy emotional development in areas of the brain critical to learning and school readiness. Parents/caregivers will also discover ways to play and interact with young children that foster healthy stimulation for the child's brain.
