Using different games, traditional songs and hands on activities, the children in this class will learn the verb "to be" (permanent condition-ser), basic sounds of Spanish, the parts of the body, the family and objects in the environment. This program is a 5-Week Course beginning July 7th (Tuesday, July 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th & August 4th) and is open to 15 children between the ages of 3 and 5 years old (parents are required to attend the program with their child). Sign language offers a “hands-on” beginning to literacy. Exposure to books in a child’s early years is directly related to improving literacy skills. More Information: About the Instructor - Jenny Hodges has a Masters Degree in Elementary Education and is the Founder and Director of the Kids Love to Sign® Program, an international program that offers numerous signing class for children as well as a variety of signing resource and activity books. She has appeared on the NBC TODAY Show, NBC Nightly News, and in LIFE Magazine promoting the benefits of signing with children. The Kids Love to Sign® Program is dedicated to promoting enthusiasm for learning basic American Sign Language. Jenny was recently awarded the 2008 Entrepreneurial Mother’s Association’s Mother of the Year Award. Jenny and her husband Scott have two children, Nathaniel 8 years old, and Molly 5 years old.

In celebration of our Members, we have designated the third Friday night in June, July and August as Member Night. Come escape the heat from 4pm to 8pm as we open the Museum to Members only. Member nights will be held on June 19th, July 17th and August 21st.

Please note, if you bring guests who are not Museum members, and you are not using your guest pass for them, our regular $9 admission fee will apply to each person in order for them to gain admission into the Museum.
